Making Of Cakes

I wanted to make this Topsy Turvy Cake for My Neice for her Sweet 16th Birthday Party last week. I wanted to make sure that she had a great great party. It was so so much fun to make.

Of course it wasn't easy. We (meaning Michael and I) had a really hard time trying to figure out how to cut it just right. We didn't know if we should cut it before I put the filling in. Well I cut it first and it was bad. It was slipping all over the place. So I now know to do it before I put filling in the middle. And I know to make the circles and the balls the night before and cover them. Isn't great to learn new things. Next time I will but the top piece on the right way. YES I made a big boo boo. Oh well ! I love it anyway. I hope you all like.

Our Summer Vacation 2008

Our kids had so much fun here. Anya wouldn't go near the water after the first wave almost knocked her down so she stayed with her cousin Addison up away from the water. Kahlan enjoyed having her sister putting sand all on top of her. Gretchen and I thought we should draw something on her so we picked a mermaid. Doesn't she look great!!! Ha Ha..... Aiden took sometime getting into the water, but when he finally over came the cold he didn't want to get out. Just like his DAD!

We had a blast being there with Dean,Gretchen and Addison. We stayed the whole day until it was to windy. We did see our friends while we were there. It was Mike and Eva St. Claire. It was so nice to see them, since we hadn't see each other for almost 3 years. We really need to go back!!!!!! I hope we can this year.
